AVRIL LOFTS

Avril Bleh’s new market space is on track to be completed and open for business sometime later this month. Drywall work is nearing completion in the fourth-floor condo units and is ongoing on the third floor. Additionally, rough framing work is being completed in the second-floor units.

THE FOUNDRY

At The Foundry, Turner Construction continues the buildout of its new office space on Level 2 with framing work and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) rough-ins in progress, as Royce’s buildout continues at the corner of 5th and Vine Streets with framing and MEP rough-ins as well. On the building’s exterior, the installation of cornice metal panels is now complete, and the installation of break metal at the soffits and around the folding glass walls continues. All sidewalks and traffic lanes have been opened to a new configuration and work on traffic controls and street lighting is ongoing. Jeff Ruby’s is waiting for permit approval.

KEYER ROW

Currently, 15 of the 22 residential apartments at Keyer Row have been leased and all units are complete and move-in ready. The first shipment of commercial storefront windows arrived last week and will be installed in the coming days. The commercial white-box interiors are now complete, and crews are waiting for additional shipments of storefront windows and doors to arrive.

WILLKOMMEN

The Willkommen project continues to push closer to completion as construction continues in the new buildings at 1521 Vine Street, 1512 Republic Street and 1602 Pleasant Street. Wood flooring, furnaces, bathtubs and tile are being installed in the buildings on Vine Street while final touches and exterior brickwork are wrapping up at 1512 Republic Street. The installation of cabinetry, appliances and bathroom tile continues in the residential units on Pleasant Street.
Construction is officially complete at several of the buildings on Liberty, Walnut, Woodward, Race, Moore and 15th Streets, as well as at 1604 and 1606 Pleasant Street. At 1601 Race Street, the renovation of the Alabama Fish Bar is complete, and the restaurant has reopened its doors.
