The project enabled Avril-Bleh meat market to expand its production and operations, while remaining independently owned. The renovation produced additional prep space, a new retail setup, and a permanent grill that opens onto Court Street. The project also created a separate 850-square-foot commercial space next door to Avril’s, which is owned by 3CDC.

Work at Avril Lofts is nearing completion. While facing delays on the delivery of windows, the crews inside have been working hard on finishing touches throughout the units. To date, countertops, backsplashes, electrical and plumbing fixtures have been installed. Paint touch-up is underway and common areas are nearly complete. Avril Lofts are well into the finish stage of construction, as finishing touches are being made on tile, flooring and trim work throughout the condo units. Appliances have been delivered and are currently being installed. The historic stair at the center of the hallway is undergoing restoration and will be an exciting feature of the building. Units are expected to hit the market later this fall.
At Avril Lofts, final finishes are being installed in the third- and fourth-floor condos. On the second floor, cabinet installation is underway. Work has officially started on the final ground-floor commercial space.

The second phase of Avril-Bleh Meat Market is complete, which included the expansion of the back-of-house processing facility and a new walk-up grill window. The grill window is now open, so patrons can walk up to order burgers, brats, sandwiches and more!
At Avril Lofts, the installation of hardwood flooring will begin next week inside the condo units. Other finishes, such as tile and painting, are also underway. Additionally, the walk-up grill window for the Avril-Bleh meat market is set to be open early this month. This will allow Avril-Bleh to move its summertime lunch grill inside.

The HVAC system is now operational on the second and third floors. Structural stabilization of the first-floor Avril Bleh market space is complete and ready for drywall and a new walk-in freezer and grease duct.

On the building’s second floor, demolition and rough framing are complete in the condo units. Drywall hanging is underway in the third-floor condo units and was recently completed in the fourth-floor units. Flooring will be installed in the coming weeks.
At Avril Lofts, the new Avril-Bleh Meat Market opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Phase 2 of the Avril-Bleh expansion, which includes the renovation the meat processing facility and addition of a walk-up window, is now underway. Construction of the condo units on the upper floors of the historic buildings continues, with restoration of the historic atrium and rough framing work nearing completion.
Avril Bleh’s new market space is on track to be completed and open for business sometime later this month. Drywall work is nearing completion in the fourth-floor condo units and is ongoing on the third floor. Additionally, rough framing work is being completed in the second-floor units.
