Society Cycle Will be First of Its Kind in Urban Core
CINCINNATI (May 4, 2021) – Society Cycle, a music-focused cycle house owned by Dari Grant has signed a lease with Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) for a 2,480-square-foot-space located at 15 W. 14th Street. When it opens to the public on May 22, Society Cycle will be the first of its kind Downtown, and will offer classes seven days a week with both morning and evening spin jam sessions. Guests can purchase individual classes or sign up for a membership at the studio. Grant has hired five spinning instructors with different spin styles to offer something for all members.
The mission of Society Cycle—and Grant—is to provide workout sessions for all fitness levels, while being an inclusive membership cycle house. “We understand the importance of health during this climate, so our goal is to be in close steps to a growing community with existing and interactive spin sessions,” Grant said of her new business venture.
The space has two floors taking up the second and third floors of the building located above Low Spark. The second floor will consist of the check-in counter, juice bar and lounge area, with 14 bikes on the third floor. Currently, all bikes are spaced out to accommodate COVID-19 regulations.
“I’m excited to bring something different to OTR while sharing my passion for spinning,” Grant continued. “Members can expect to be motivated, so they forget they’re working out while they’re working out.”
Her goal was to offer something to clients that would feed the body, mind and soul through fitness. She decided to bring spinning to a vibrant and growing community, that’s walking distance for fitness-conscious residents.
It’s location near the corner of 14th and Race streets positions it almost as an extension of the fitness and workout classes, and general fitness activity, taking place at Washington Park less than a block away.
