Baru Adding Lunch Service as More Employees Return to Offices Throughout Urban Core
CINCINNATI (January 29, 2024) – Baru, an elevated sushi concept that opened its doors just last March in the 84.51° building, has announced it will be open for lunch beginning this week. The restaurant, known for its unique, sophisticated-yet-approachable food offerings, has added new options to its menu to accommodate the those in search of additional lunch options in Cincinnati’s urban core.
“We immediately felt welcomed to Cincinnati’s dining scene when we opened last year, and as we continue to see more folks returning to the office, we felt the time was right to start catering to the lunch crowd, too,” owner Tyler Wogenstahl said. “We’re really excited to be expanding our hours to meet the increased need for dining options during the workday.”
Located downtown at 595 Race Street, the restaurant’s lunch menu features a number of unique new items patrons won’t find on the dinner menu, including sushi burritos, a chicken katsu sandwich and a Japanese curry bowl, among others. Guests can also enjoy a variety of house maki rolls, classic nigiri and sashimi, as well as composed sashimi and both small and regular plate options. From salads to salmon to lobster shots and more, there’s truly something for everyone.
As of today, Baru will be open for lunch Monday thru Friday at 11 AM, and will remain open until 2 AM Monday, Friday and Saturday, 10 PM on Sundays, and 11 PM Tuesday thru Thursday. Reservations are available on OpenTable and walk-ins are always welcome.
Further Concepts and Investors, the hospitality management company behind Baru and the Voices of America Country Music Festival in West Chester, is also opening another concept downtown later this year. Vintage on Race, a sports and entertainment lounge that mixes the luxury of an athletics club and the warmth of a family bar, is currently under construction at 500 Race St. in Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC)’s mixed-use Foundry development. It is expected to open to the public this spring.
