Court Street Kitchen Joins Growing List of Eateries in the Up-and-Coming District
CINCINNATI (February 1, 2024) – Experienced restaurateur Braheam Shteiwi will celebrate the grand opening of his first self-created concept, Court Street Kitchen, tomorrow at 4 PM. Located at 9 E. Court Street in Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC)’s $7.9 million Court Street South Condos project, at 3,380 square feet, the restaurant space is one of 3CDC’s largest.
Braheam, who spent years learning the ins and outs of the restaurant business from his late father Rakan Shteiwi, was intentional about working with as many local vendors as possible when designing the space, which features brass accents, brushed white wood and exposed brick. The restaurant features tabletops by Cincinnati Wood Collaborative, as well as booths and other furniture by Orange Chair. City Studios and John Tatone oversaw the design of the space and worked to create an upscale neighborhood dining feel.
Court Street Kitchen’s menu will focus on New American fare, highlighting steak and seafood, but not excluding items like a good, old-fashioned hamburger. Patrons can enjoy Sixteen Bricks bread service, and a list of great starters, salads and soups to complement main course options like ribeye, branzino, chicken cassoulet and more. Signature cocktails, beer and wine by the glass will also be available. Chef-owner Braheam intends for the restaurant to be a more affordable option for patrons without sacrificing the upscale dining vibe.
“We feel like there has been a need in the Downtown Cincinnati market for more places where you can go for a date night, an evening out with the guys or get a good family meal at a more approachable price point,” said Braheam. “We believe Court Street Kitchen is going to be a place that helps fill that gap and we’re incredibly excited to be able to provide that option to a wide range of customers.”
In addition to its expansive main dining room and bar, the restaurant features ‘VII’ – a lounge with its own dedicated bar, dimmed lighting, and a state-of-the-art DJ booth. Open daily at 6 PM, the lounge will serve as a place to hang out before or after dinner, grab a drink with friends, or catch a game.
“Our vision for Court Street Plaza has been to create a lively destination that features unique events and dining options,” said Lindzie Gunnels, Commercial Leasing Director with 3CDC. “We recognized an opportunity for a slightly different take on the indoor food hall concept, curating a plaza with different cuisines and price points to reach a broader audience. Court Street Kitchen brings a welcoming concept and atmosphere that will accommodate a variety of patrons, from those looking to grab a drink after work to those planning a nice night out downtown.”
Court Street Kitchen joins a diverse list of restaurants on Court Street Plaza including Mid-City Restaurant, Pilar, Onolicious Hawaii, and Avril Bleh, all of which will soon be joined by Pata Roja Taqueria and Daruma, a Japanese convenience store. It will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 4 PM to 11 PM and dining reservations can be made online at https://courtstreetkitchen.com. Late reservations for groups to have appetizers and drinks in the VII Lounge are also available.
