560 New Parking Spaces to be Added to Cincinnati’s Central Business District
CINCINNATI (February 15, 2019) – A new public parking garage is set to officially open in Cincinnati’s Central Business District on Monday at 6 a.m. when the 560-space Court and Walnut garage begins welcoming daily parkers. Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) developed the Court and Walnut Garage as part of the 18-story mixed-use development that also includes a 45,000-square-foot Kroger and 139 residential units. The six-story parking garage will provide affordable public parking for those visiting Over-the-Rhine as well as the Central Business District.
The garage is conveniently located between OTR and the CBD at the corner of Court and Walnut streets, with vehicular entry and exit on Central Parkway between Walnut and Main streets. Its physical address is 119 E Central Parkway. The garage also includes eight charging stations to serve 16 electric vehicles.
The garage is owned by the City of Cincinnati and master leased to 3CDC, which oversees operations of the garage. It will be staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by SP+, which manages all 3CDC garages. Daily rates are comparable to rates at the other 3CDC garages in Cincinnati’s Central Business District, including the 8th and Sycamore Garage and 84.51° Garage. Daily rates at the Court and Walnut Garage are as follows:
0-9 min. – FREE
10-59 min. – $2
1-2 hours – $5
2-3 hours – $7
3-4 hours – $9
4-5 hours – $11
5-6 hours – $13
6-7 hours – $15
7-24 hours – $17
Mon – Fri after 4pm: $4 flat rate (max 8 hours, after which normal Weekday or Weekend rates apply)
Saturday & Sunday: $4 flat rate (max 8 hours, after which normal Weekday or Weekend rates apply)
Monthly parking passes will be available at a discounted rate of $135 per month from March – August. Beginning September 1, the normal rate of $150 per month will apply. Additional information, rates, and the request form for monthly parking passes can be found on the 3CDC website.
