Almost V’Gan Lounge to Celebrate Grand Opening at Court Street Plaza

Unique Eatery Brings New Options to Health-Conscious Consumers 

 CINCINNATI (July 25, 2024) – Almost V’Gan Lounge (AV Lounge), an eatery for health-conscious consumers looking for more variety on the dining scene, recently celebrated its soft opening at 34 E Court Street with a private ribbon cutting ceremony. Beginning at 2 PM today, the restaurant will celebrate its grand opening – and everyone is invited. Located in Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC)’s Court Street Condos project, the 2,200-square-foot space features a restaurant with bottle service on one side and an upscale bar and lounge on the other.

Recognizing the lack of options for folks with alternative diets when dining out, owners Jarvis Shaw and Sean Reed decided to open AV Lounge to fill the void. The menu caters to a variety of lifestyles and tastes, offering a fusion of vegan & traditional cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, & signature drinks. For every traditional menu item, Almost V’Gan offers a similar vegan pairing. For instance, the menu includes jackfruit or pot roast tacos, grilled tofu or salmon sliders and grilled watermelon salad, among many other unique offerings.

“We are all required to do our part in healing the world, and we’re doing our part through food,” said Chef Camerron Dangerfield, a culinary partner and consultant to AV Lounge. “It’s not just food, but offerings that nourish the mind, body, and soul. AV Lounge is a complete depiction of just that. This is how we share our entire being – through delicious tastings that you won’t find elsewhere.”

Shaw and Reed worked with City Studios Architecture and Triversity Construction on the design and buildout of the space, which features deep but vibrant colors, gold accents and wallpaper ceilings. The lounge-style atmosphere gives it a relaxing vibe that makes patrons want to sit back and stay awhile.

“Our team has been working very hard to bring a diverse portfolio of restaurants to Downtown Cincinnati and OTR, with options that cater to a variety of lifestyles, cultures and tastes,” said Lindzie Gunnels, Director of Commercial Leasing with 3CDC. “AV Lounge is an exciting addition to the neighborhood because it offers those following a Vegan lifestyle a range of high-quality options while also inviting those who aren’t vegan to enjoy good food too!”

Located on Court Street Plaza, AV Lounge joins a number of eateries that have opened in the past year, including Onolicious, Court Street Kitchen, Pata Roja, and Daruma. This diverse list of food options ranging from Latin and Asian Cuisine, to Mexican, American and now, Vegan fare, along with a diverse collection of operators, has turned Court Street Plaza into a true downtown dining destination.

“We can not wait to join the other fantastic restaurants and bars on Court Street Plaza,” Executive Chef Stuart Royer said. “We are bringing our own twist to the Cincinnati culinary scene.”

AV Lounge will be open Thursday through Sunday, serving lunch and dinner Thursday through Saturday, as well as brunch on Sundays. The hours will vary daily, as listed below:

• Sunday: 1PM – 10PM
