400 New Parking Spaces to be Added to Over-the-Rhine
CINCINNATI (June 30, 2017) – A new public parking garage is set to officially open in Over-the-Rhine tomorrow when the 400-space Ziegler Park garage begins welcoming daily parkers. The Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) developed the two-story, underground garage as part of its larger $31.9 million renovation of Ziegler Park. The renovation involves expanding the park from 1.5 acres to 4.5 acres of public green space, complete with a recreational pool, interactive water feature, children’s playground, basketball courts and more.
The garage, which sits below a large recreational play field across the street from the Ziegler Park pool, can be accessed from Sycamore Street, between 13th and 14th streets. The garage’s physical address is 1322 Sycamore Street. Pedestrian entrances and exits are located in portals next to the vehicular access. The garage also includes four charging stations, to accommodate up to eight electric vehicles.
The garage is owned by the City of Cincinnati and master leased to 3CDC, which oversees operations of the garage. It will be staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by SP+, which manages all 3CDC garages. Daily rates are comparable to rates at the other 3CDC garages in Over-the-Rhine (Mercer Commons Garage and Washington Park Garage). Daily rates at Ziegler Park are:
0-59 min. – $2
1-2 hours – $3
2-3 hours – $4
3-4 hours – $6
Over 4 hours – $8
Mon – Fri after 4pm: $5 flat rate (per 8 hours)
Saturday & Sunday: $5 flat rate (per 8 hours)
Monthly parking passes are also available for $95 per month. Additional information, rates, and the request form for monthly parking passes can be found on the 3CDC website.
