Design Team Set to Present Preliminary Master Plan
CINCINNATI (September 17, 2015) – The design team leading the renovation of Over-the-Rhine’s Ziegler Park will present its preliminary master plan at a fourth – and final – community workshop next week. The Cincinnati Park Board, Cincinnati Recreation Commission, City of Cincinnati, and 3CDC will be hosting the workshop on Monday, September 28 at 5 p.m. at the Woodward Theater, located at 1404 Main Street in Over-the-Rhine.
The final workshop will be the culmination of three previous community input sessions, all of which focused on the renovation of the 1.41-acre park, located between 13th and 14th Streets, just west of the old School for Creative & Performing Arts and just south of the Peaslee Neighborhood Center.
3CDC and the design team, which includes glaserworks (architect/urban planning), Human Nature (landscape architect), Brandstetter Carroll (aquatics/civil engineering) and Perfido, Weiskopf, Wagstaff + Goettel, utilized feedback from the three previous community workshops along with information gathered during meetings of key stakeholders on the project to develop the plan.
This fourth workshop, which is expected to last approximately one hour, will once again be led by glaserworks, in conjunction with the rest of the design team. The intent of the meeting is to present the preliminary master plan, and gather any final feedback or comments from the community.
Following the workshop, a final master plan will be developed and prepared for implementation.
