TAFT’S ALE HOUSE
Lease negotiations are underway for a bar/restaurant tenant to occupy the historic structure. The doors could be open for business as early as Spring of 2014.
FOUNTAIN SQUARE
PNC Summer Music Series is entering its last month with a full line up of great entertainment. Despite increasing competition (including Washington Park!) the Square remains the City’s living room with crowds to prove it.
WASHINGTON PARK
Washington Park Summer Series is in full swing and has received plenty of media attention, including a Channel 9 story in August about yoga in the park.
TWELFTH & VINE LOT
ArtWorks completed the mural painting on the wall abutting the east side of the lot. Scaffolding has been removed, and all parking spaces are back in service.
HUMMEL BUILDING
A ribbon-cutting was held at the Hummel Building on July 25th. An open house was held on August 10th. Three of the 4 units are available.
WESTFALEN LOFTS II
Construction is progressing on schedule for completion in late September 2013. Buildings have entered trim carpentry stage and landscaping work will begin shortly.
Sweet Petite Desserts was the first tenant announced last month.
TEA COMPANY TOWNHOMES
New windows and new roofs are being installed at Tea Company Townhomes. The framing crew is wrapping up in two of the three buildings and mechanical crews are following shortly behind. 3CDC staff is working with a potential tenant to determine feasibility for the commercial space.
MERCER COMMONS
In the first phase of construction, 8 of the 11 Mercer Historic units are under contract with the first residents scheduled to move in August. The One Mercer mixed-use building on Vine Street (12 units) and the Mercer Townhomes (5 units) are scheduled for completion in Fall 2013.
In the second phase of construction, all historic rehab buildings and the new building at Mercer and Walnut are under construction. Mercer Commons Phase 2 includes 67 apartments (30 affordable units) and nearly 11,000 SF of commercial space. Phase 2 is scheduled for completion in late spring 2014.
REPUBLIC STREET LOFTS
Construction is substantially complete on Republic Street Lofts and we will begin taking sales contracts this week (open house scheduled for August 10). All units are studios or 1-BR and feature tons of kitchen storage, onsite parking, and close proximity to Washington Park.
PARK HAUS
Historic Preservation Tax Credits were awarded for 1405-07 Elm Street to help fund the renovation of these two buildings back into residential use.
NICOLAY
Construction at Nicolay is nearing completion and the condo units will be for sale in August or September 2013. All units boast great views, huge windows, and a shared roof deck with a stunning view of Music Hall and Washington Park.
UNION HALL
City Council approved $4.5 million in capital funding for the Cintrifuse project. All financing is now in place and groundbreaking is scheduled for September. The project has a 15-month construction schedule.
B-SIDE APARTMENTS
Windows are currently being installed and will be followed by finishes. Rental units are anticipated to be available mid-October.
