Deloitte to Take Portion of Second Floor in Space That Overlooks Fountain Square
CINCINNATI (July 6, 2021) – Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) has signed a lease with Deloitte for a portion of the second floor in the developer’s Foundry project, making the industry-leading audit, consulting, tax, and advisory services firm the first office tenant to secure space at the $51 million mixed-use development.
Deloitte has secured a space along Vine Street that will position its new office at one of the most prominent corners of Downtown Cincinnati, with a view that will overlook Fountain Square directly across the street. Construction on the new space will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in late 2021 or early 2022.
3CDC’s agreement with Deloitte comes on the heels of the non-profit developer’s announcement of the first street-level commercial tenant in the Foundry, Nashville-based restauranteur Terry Raley’s new French-leaning brasserie concept, Royce, which will be located at the corner of Fifth and Vine streets.
The Foundry, formerly known as Fountain Place, will eventually feature 150,000 square feet of Class A office space and 35,000 square feet of street-level retail space. The project also includes a 164-space underground garage that is already operating. With demolition of the building’s interior completed, the installation of mechanical systems throughout the structure is currently underway. 3CDC is also currently wrapping the building with an all-glass façade, a process that is expected to be finished in July 2021. The new façade, when combined with the new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, will result in high energy efficiency throughout the building.
“We’re excited to announce Deloitte as the first office tenant of the Foundry” Katie Westbrook, 3CDC’s Development Manager in charge of the project, said. “We hope this is the first of many exciting announcements to come over the next few months, as we work to fill this essential building in our urban core with more world-class organizations like Deloitte.”
3CDC was represented by Travis Likes and Scott Yards of CBRE in the deal.
